A new year begins and it is time to make a review of how the previous one has been. We do not want to be different and, wanting to show transparency, we present a summary of what 2017 has been like for All you need is Biology.
In 2017, All you need is Biology has grown significantly with respect to the previous year. In fact, the number of visits has been 2.5 times higher than in the previous year. In 2017 we achieved 789,867 visits and 562,851 visitors, which indicates that, on average, each visitor has seen 1.4 pages. We planned to reach half a million visits, so we can consider that we exceed the goal by far. This growth year after year confirms that All you need is Biology is consolidating.
This year, visits have come from 220 countries, 18 more than the previous year.
Anyway, it should be noted that there are 5 major countries visiting the blog, the first being Spain, followed closely by the United States and Mexico.
As you know, our blog is trilingual. The most read language is Spanish, followed by English and finally Catalan. The trends are the same as in previous years, although English and Catalan have increased slightly.
Regarding the origin of the visits, we can conclude that the organic traffic, that is, the one that comes from the search engines, is the most important. The growth of organic traffic has doubled in one year, which indicates very good news.
In 2017, only 43 new articles have been published, due to the fact that some collaborators have abandoned their work due to lack of time. It is for this reason that in 2018 our intention is to look for new collaborators of all the topics without covering to offer you fresher contents.
I do not want to end this summary without thanking each and every one of the people who are helping this project. I would like to start with my collaborators, whose work I thank with all my heart, and, of course, our readers, without whom this would not make sense.
See you in 2018!
